Acid folk” was born in an old garage off Clinton Avenue in Toronto, concocted by Tom Wilson from Blackie & the Rodeo Kings, a few Cowboy Junkies, and some Skydiggers. Allowing bass, hypnotic rhythms and a lot of groove into their songwriting circle, the artist collective LeE HARVeY OsMOND created a sound that would creep out of the Northern woods and across the Great Lakes into the South, the same way The Band did forty years before them. Tom Wilson (guitar and vocals) struck Canadian rock gold in the ’90s as the leader of the much- loved Junkhouse, and then found a whole new audience as a crucial component of roots-rock super- group Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, who have just released a compilation of some of their most loved songs entitled “Swingin’ from The Chains of Love” on True North Records. He released solo albums in 2001 and 2006, and his 2005 collaboration with Bob Lanois, The Shack Recordings, was critically acclaimed. A Quiet Evil is the first release by LeE HARVeY OsMOND.. Miss Emily Brown’s debut album Part of You Pours Out of Me (April 2008) was named one of the year’s top ten by CBC host Alan Neal. In January 2010 she released In Technicolor, an album written during her recent Canada Council sponsored songwriting project based on her grandmother’s WWII diary. Recently featured on CBC Canada Live and CBC Canada NEXT, Miss Brown’s live performance impossibly combines autoharp, vintage keys, guitar and music box with her unmistakable voice.
http://www.myspace.com/missemilybrown For an artist in the early years of a career, Pat's hard-earned time on the road already shines through with a comfortable attitude on and off stage. This isn't a musician by trade, this is someone who makes music because they have to. He's born and bred in Windsor, Ontario, the city of roses and the automotive capitol of Canada. His neighbours to the north (Windsor is one of the only cities in Canada that sits geographically south of America) in Detroit, Michigan paved the way for what is rock and soul music today. Pat's brand of music doesn't quite showcase the sound of Motown Detroit, but it's got the soul and spirit to measure up. He doesn't tour with a band or record with one. He prefers to keep the decisions and performances up to himself, yet he's still able to paint a landscape in a song as if a hundred people had given their advice. He's had a few pats on the back from respectable artists along the way, too, including Peter Frampton, Sam Roberts, Matthew Good, The Beach Boys & Bob Rock.
http://www.myspace.com/patrobitaille One of Toronto’s hottest live bands, The Liquidaires, bring their “New World Rhythms” to this year’s Artwalk festivities, June 6 in Sarnia, Ontario. The band will be performing on the mainstage Saturday afternoon, and can also be seen at Ups and Downs on Friday and Saturday nights that weekend. The Liquidaires came into being as a Ska ensemble, taking this popular ‘60’s Jamaican music and wringing it out with crafty jazz improvisations. Since then, the band has mixed various Caribbean influences to create what they call “New World Rhythms”, blending Calypso, Reggae, New Orleans Funk’n’Soul and more into their spicy brew. They have two full-length CD’s in their catalogue, Lookin’ Up, and Meeting Place, and are due to release a third by the summer, featuring the six members of the regular Liquidaries line-up (Carey ‘Queen’ West-vocals, Roger Gibbs-guitar and vocals, Jim ‘King’ Bish-woodwinds, Chris ‘Tetris’ Wilson-keys and reeds, Mark ‘Devo’ DeVos-bass, Jeff ‘Reggae Dragon’ Wilson-drums) and a host of musical luminaries from the Toronto World Music scene: Kevin Laliberte (flamenco guitar), Levon Ichkhanian (Arabic Oud), Deb Sinha (Turkish dumbek), Adam Warner (drums), and Jan Morgan (trumpet, valve trombone). Guests for the Sarnia shows include Adam Warner on drums (Mad Bastards, Jill Barber) and Kevin Barrett on guitar (Julie Michels, Big Rude Jake). Hailing from Niagara Falls Ontario, this 3 piece alternative rock band formed in early 2008. Lead singer and guitarist Nathan Warriner, drummer Brandon Ainsley and bassist Johnny Albers, formed The Waxbills after touring around as Warriner’s solo act from 2006 to late 2007. Sitting on a slew of material, The Waxbills wasted no time getting into the studio and in June 2008 the band recorded their 1st full length record at Grant Avenue Studios with legendary producer/engineer Joe Shugan (Lone Rhino Productions). This 10 song album entitled “The Way It Goes” was released independently in October of 2008 and such tracks as “Take It” and “With Eyes That Never Lie” are currently getting steady radio play on several Canadian U.S and U.K rock radio stations. Currently the band are on tour across Canada after wrapping up their follow up record entitled “Hard To Lose”.

http://www.myspace.com/romneygetty This powerful five piece, Detroit, Michigan based Irish band plays invigorating Irish, Scottish and Celtic-American folk music. Traditional and contemporary songs are punctuated with wonderfully inventive arrangements of jigs, reels and hornpipes, hotly fueled by Alison on fiddle and whistles, Terence on the uilleann pipes and whistles and Asher on buttoned accordion and concertina. Jim and Cheryl's unique vocal blend bring an irresistible approach to the songs placed against rich musical arrangements that include Appalachian dulcimer, bodhran and guitar as well as the more traditional fiddle, whistles , box and pipes. Terence and Alison also add lush and surprising vocal harmonies to accapella pieces. Occasionally, the band is joined by 3 time All-Ireland champion, Síobhan McKinney on Celtic harp. This infectious blend of immaculate pop, jazzy world music, and splashes of key-driven art-rock will strike an immediate chord. Almost like falling in love all over again, seduced by a hotbed of the right amount of ingredients. This stylistic kaleidoscope of driving melodies, soaring energy, and tight musicianship will draw you in, making you realize, hey, pop-rock can be cultured, multifaceted and fun. Carl has been a music lover since the age of 16. Since that time he has managed to become one of sarnia's longest running dj's with over 19 years in the business. He has played at almost every major hotspot in the local area and has performed gigs in London and Toronto. Carl created Fluid Music DJ Service 3 years ago in hopes of taking the club experience into the mobile area. The business continues to grow due to his reputation, musical knowledge and his massive music catalogue. You can follow where he is playing by visiting his website. A Huron Union formed in late 2009. Once the fun of summer dwindled down, two friends retreated indoors with their guitars, writing songs for what they hoped would evolve into a symphonic collective of modern Canadiana. Enlisting the talents of two locally superior musicians, the idea for a giant collective was abandoned. With the additions of Sarnia's best known vocalist and most colorful percussionist, A Huron Union had found the sound they set out for. A style that leaves room for reaction, set out to lull and agitate the borderless masses in unity around a love for home and the music created in our region.

Sound of Fans is a rock band from Sarnia, Ontario who's influences range from Led Zeppelin to John Mayer. The music they play varies from up-beat feel good rock, to mellow and sometimes dramatic ballads with hooks that will keep the listener in a trance long after the songs have finished. To put the band into a sub-category genre of music would not begin to truly describe their sound, for it is something all its own. Bio to come... Nic's soulful performances and Dennis's proficient recording and production captured the thrilling energy these songs create. From intimite solo acoustic performances to rockin' out with his band Nic Swales' fan base continues to expand as he burns his own trail through the independent music world.
